Warning!

Puhti and Mahti are being decommissioned in stages, and their storage areas will become fully unavailable from 15 October 2026. Clean up unnecessary files and move any data you need to keep by 31 August 2026. See the Roihu data migration guide for instructions on transferring your data to Roihu.

Puhti scratch is very full: keep only active data there and move or delete everything else. No new Puhti scratch quota will be granted.

How to get access to Roihu

To get access to Roihu, you need a CSC account and a project with Roihu service access enabled. Please see How to add service access to a project.

Common problems and some tips

  • Note that you need to accept the terms of use for Roihu in MyCSC before you can access Roihu. Also note that there is some delay before the information is synced to Roihu.
  • To access Roihu using an SSH client, you must set up SSH keys and add your public key to MyCSC. Roihu also requires SSH certificates that must be renewed every 24 hours. See instructions and a tutorial.
  • You can check which projects you have in MyCSC, and in the Services list of that project you can see which services are enabled.
  • In Roihu, csc-projects command will show you information about your projects on the command-line.
